Nature reserve which requires access by a very short ferry journey.

There are great walks on the island with spectacular views of Poole harbour and beyond. Brownsea island nature reserve is home to the red squirrel which is an endangered species. Enjoy natural outdoor beauty, wildlife and birdwatching on this national trust run island.

The scout camp on the island allows you to follow in Lord Baden-Powell footsteps as he ran the first scout camp here in 1907. Many activities are available on the island to recognised educational groups as well as the hostel and and campsite.
