Hot Rocks

Booked our work christmas meal at Hot Rocks, actually through recommendation from a colleague who eats there a lot. Wasn't sure what to expect as being by the beach i have always thought of this place as a tourist trap, but am pleased to say it didn't dissapoint!!
Firstly when arriving, our table was layed out great with lots of silly novalties and they gave us some really good deals on the wine, which was waiting for us on the table.
Was suprised by the standard of the food for such a large place, especially as it was packed. I had a braised lamb dish, and the sauce was so good, i asked for the recipe... to which remarkably the chef obliged!!
After our meal, which everyone enjoyed, space was cleared and a DJ began to play so we were all able to get up and dance. Perfect after a few drinks. Some of us had planned to go on elsewhere afterwards to drink and dance but no need as it was all there.
A great night had by all, and we are planning to book for next year asap.
One criticism though, we could have done with a bit more elbow space on the table. It was a busy night and there were some other groups which is why i guess we were packed in, but even so. Hopefully by booking early for next year this can be avoided. Oh and be aware that the toilets are downstairs which is not a problem at first, but after a few Long Island Iced Tea's its a problem!!
